    Detached Grade 2 listed, thatched character property with bar and lounge area, 54 cover restaurant and 8 recently decorated en-suite letting rooms, a function room for up to 50 people serves parties, weddings and corporate events. The Thatched Cottage is circa 350 years old, with a contemporary oak interior ideally placed on the A361, a major route through the town to the south west thereby attracting passing trade as well a large loyal local customer base. The restaurant attracts around 500 covers per week serving fresh local produce with an all year round room occupancy of over 75%.

    If you're looking for a relaxed and friendly retreat with a touch of luxury in an historic setting - somewhere where you can take a deep breath and unwind following a day out exploring the Somerset and the Mendip Hills - then the historic grade II listed Longbridge House, is the B&B; for you. With parts dating back to the 14th Century the house is best known for being where the Duke of Monmouth stayed before and after the Battle of Sedgemoor in 1685, before he was killed by Hanging Judge Jeffries in the Bloody Assizes. The house is also locally famous for being where John Lewis (of John Lewis Partnership fame) lived for much of his childhood alongside a very successful local and international business man John Collett.

    Set in the beautiful Somerset Countryside, just 1 mile from the Bath and West Showground, this 16th century building offers Bed & Breakfast, a full A-La-Carte Restaurant and a peaceful and relaxing bar. We also have a beer garden situated next to a stream. The newly refurbished bar has original flagstone floors, beamed ceilings, an open fire and stone walls.

New owners took over in December 2011 and have given the bar and restaurant a fresh new look and introduced tasty new menus. Open every day of the week, the restaurant serves everything from morning coffees and nibbles through to wholesome lunches and an a la carte restaurant menu in the evenings.
