Located on the outskirts of Dorking, The Running Horses is within easy reach of Heathrow (29 miles) and Gatwick Airports (17 miles). The M25 is less than 4 miles away and its only 78 miles to the Channel Tunnel. Reputedly built in the 16th Century, The Running Horses Hotel was once a coach house servicing the main route from London to the South and has been a traditional English hostelry for some 400 years. Running Horses has a superb restaurant situated at the centre of the beautiful little village of Mickleham between Dorking and Leatherhead. The hotel offers Bed & Breakfast accommodation and has six delightful en-suite rooms; comfortable furnished and classically decorated. From the moment you arrive you are truly welcome in the Preston Cross Hotel. Whether you are looking for a relaxing break, away on business in the area or attending a function, the Preston Cross Hotel, set in its own beautiful grounds, is the ideal place to stay. Our aim is to make your time with us as enjoyable as possible. This fine Victorian country house was converted to a private hotel in the mid 1960's. It is ideally situated and a superb base for visiting many local attractions. The 23 comfortable bedrooms all have private bathrooms and most have broadband internet access. Our competitive rates include full English breakfast in the Adam Room Restaurant. Dining in our Adam Room Restaurant, you will find a varied menu and selection of fine wines to make your stay extra special. To give you an appetite, or help you stay in shape we have a variety of leisure facilities available. On the sweeping lawns there is an 18-hole putting green as well as a croquet lawn. There are also two squash courts with changing rooms, showers and a galleried bar for both players and spectators.
