    Family run 3 star Georgian hotel standard inn and restaurant located in the village of Trecastle, near Brecon, in the Brecon Beacons National Park, South Wales. We have standard and superior double rooms available as well as twin and family rooms and single occupancy in a double room. We are very popular with people taking a few days walking in the Brecon Beacons as well as families, cyclists, fishermen and golfers.

    We are a family run guest house in the historic market town of Brecon, half a mile from the town centre on the main road from Cardiff. The house is an old farmhouse which dates back to the 1800's and still has original beams in some of the rooms. All our rooms are en-suite and have TV, with TV/DVD’s in the family rooms, radio, tea and coffee making facilities.

The more than two acre landscaped grounds incorporate a swimming pool and quiet places to sit and reflect. Children are very welcome and locally there are plenty of activities ranging from visiting a Dinosaur Park to Potholing and prospecting for gold in a Roman Mine.

This attractive country house has 27 bedrooms in the main house and annexes, most of which overlook the gardens. There are also comfortable lounges, a pretty conservatory, bar and dining room.

    Alltybrain Farmhouse B&B; and the self-catering cottages are up a private lane with plenty of secure carparking space. There is a wonderful view all around of the welsh hills and whether you visit in the spring, summer autumn or winter there is always some sort of domestic animal and wildlilfe activity happening around the gardens and fields! Duck Cottage and Damson Cottage are delightful romantic cottages each both graded 4* by Visit Wales for two people and are set back off the farmyard at Alltybrain Farm. They retain many old features such as flagged stone floors and great thick walls.

    The Usk was established in the 1840s at the time of the Brecon to Merthyr Railway. It has an enviable position on the edge of the village, opposite the former railway station and yard. Imagine if you can, how the patrons of the Inn would have felt when the Wild Run of 1878 spilled the Locomotive Hercules onto Station Road.

On the second floor of the house, the suite consists of: A double bedroom A large bathroom with shower over the bath A separate WC A landing area and a walk-in dressing room for suitcases and to hang long items of clothing Freeview colour TV, clock radio, WIFI, bathroom toiletries, hair dryer, ironing board and beverage facilities are provided. There is also a private sitting room downstairs for guests' use.
